We are expecting over 160 classic and modern sailing yachts at Lake Constance Week. Fine mahogany yachts, sport boats and high-tech carbon racers represent over a century of yachting. The races will be held on five race courses in the Konstanz Funnel between Germany and Switzerland.
From spectator ships, but also from land, interested people can follow the regattas of the elegant yachts on a big screen at the harbor square.
A highlight of the day is the evening run-in of the yachts after the races. The terrace of the IBW lounge offers the best view to greet the crews in port with a cool drink.
Where usually the course ships dock, during the Lake Constance week the elegant yachts line up stern to stern in the old town harbor of Constance. The brightly polished ships at the jetties and the colorful hustle and bustle on the waterfront invite you to linger and marvel.
So there is plenty of entertainment on land and on the water for young and old, for water sports professionals and for landlubbers.
The rowing competitions at Lake Constance Week are a real magnet for visitors. Where else can you experience the sport of rowing as up close as at Lake Constance Week? Be it the long-distance regatta of the eights “3 Miles of Constance” or the four-man race “Imperiasprint”.
Marvel at the finish in the harbor basin directly at the famous statue Imperia, the landmark of Constance, and attend the award ceremony, which takes place on a raft in the harbor basin.
In September 2017, the water ski show group of the Swiss-German Motor Boat Club (DSMC) won the European Championship in France.
On water and monoski, wakeboard or even barefoot, the show group performs spectacular numbers. Whether ballet, flag and sail parades, “around the boat” or pyramids – with acrobatic feats and the night show known throughout Europe, the performance is a highlight of Lake Constance Week.
At the Stadtgarten, just a few meters from the shore, you will experience acrobatics and thrills in a class of their own. Thrills not only for the actors, but also for all spectators.
Get a taste of sea air at the event area at the harbor. Access to the Hafenmeile is free of charge for all visitors.
Participants and guests mingle at the water sports and boat show. Enjoy the atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of the maritime market.
